| Wood waxed | If the stain is fresh, remove the stain with turpentine. If it is old, rub with fine sandpaper, then bring back wax. | |||
| lacquered wood or painted | Wipe with paint thinner, then polish with a linen cloth soaked in linseed oil and alcohol. | |||
| Linoleum | remove stains with turpentine, then give back to the wax. | |||
| Wine | Cotton | immediately Cover the stain with salt up, then rub lemon juice warm. | ||
| Lana | Cover the stain with salt, then rub with diluted hydrogen peroxide. | |||

| Velvet | Cover immediately with salt, then ironed on the reverse with a damp cloth. | |||

| Sugar | Cotton, wool, silk, velvet, fur, waterproof fabric | Wash with warm water. Possibly remove the stain with light, but not silk. | ||
